How long does the process take from start to finish?
The timeline varies depending on the complexity of your design and our current production schedule, but a typical project takes several weeks from design finalization to installation. During your consultation, we will give you a more specific timeline based on your project’s details.
Do I need to hire other contractors?
No. We provide complete turn-key installation. Our team handles everything from removing your old door to installing the new one, setting hardware, installing weather stripping, and ensuring a perfect seal. No other contractors are needed.
Can you work with my existing door opening?
In most cases, yes. Our doors are custom-built to your exact measurements, so we design to fit your space rather than forcing a standard-size door into a non-standard opening. If any modifications are needed, our installation team handles them as part of the turn-key service.
What is the difference between mahogany and knotty alder?
Mahogany is a premium hardwood with smooth, even grain that lends itself to a refined, polished look. Knotty alder has a more rustic character with natural knots and grain variations that give each door unique personality. When stained and antiqued, it evokes an old-world, Mediterranean aesthetic. We are happy to help you decide during your consultation.
Do you build interior doors as well?
Yes. In addition to entry doors, we design and build specialty interior doors including office doors, decorative doors, Dutch doors, and kitchen pantry doors. We also create custom leaded glass panels for kitchen cabinets and privacy glass for bathrooms.
Do you offer financing?
Yes. We offer 100 percent financing through our established lending partners. The application process is quick, and you can typically get a decision within minutes.
How often should I refinish my door?
We recommend annual refinishing maintenance. Our annual service is quick and affordable: we clean, lightly sand, and apply a fresh coat of UV-rated polyurethane. This small yearly investment prevents the much more expensive full restoration that becomes necessary when a door is neglected for years.
Can you refinish a door you did not build?
Yes. Our restoration and refinishing services are available for any wood entry door, regardless of who built or installed it. If your existing door is structurally sound but the finish has deteriorated, we can bring it back to life.
