Know Exactly What to Expect

Turn-Key Installation
by the People Who Built It

From precise measurements to a spotless final walkthrough, here is exactly how we replace your entry door — with as much work as possible done in our workshop so your time at home is minimal.

The Turn-Key Difference

Our Entry Door Replacement Process, Step by Step

At Entry Door Shop, the team that designs and builds your door is the same team that installs it. This is not a minor detail — it is a fundamental part of our quality promise. When the craftsmen who selected your wood, assembled your panels, and applied your finish are the same people who hang your door and set your hardware, the result is a level of precision and care that simply cannot be achieved when installation is handed off to a separate crew.

Our process begins with taking precise measurements of your door opening at multiple points to ensure a perfect fit. Once we have these dimensions, we either build a new door from scratch or customize one of our value doors at our shop. This includes sanding, applying the stain color of your choice, and finishing with three coats of exterior UV wood polyurethane sealer. We handle as much preparation as possible in our workshop to minimize the time spent at your home.

When we arrive for the installation, we take great care to protect your property by taping off floor space and cleaning the area thoroughly before we begin. We pride ourselves on working quietly and conscientiously, maintaining a clean workspace throughout the entire project. Before we finish, we pay close attention to every detail — if there is anything you or our team identifies as needing further attention, we address it immediately. You will never have to call us back for something we should have caught.

From start to finish, one team handles every detail. You do not need to hire a carpenter, a separate installer, or a painter. No coordination headaches, no subcontractors, no surprises on installation day.

Why It Matters

The Details That Make the Difference

Multi-Point Measurements

We measure your door opening at multiple points to ensure a perfect fit. No assumptions, no standard sizes forced into non-standard openings. Precision from the very first step.

Property Protection

Before any work begins, we tape off your floor space and clean the area thoroughly. We work quietly and conscientiously, maintaining a spotless workspace throughout the entire project.

Heavy-Duty Hardware

Our signature roller catch system keeps your door securely closed. Combined with precision-fitted hinges, quality locksets, new weather stripping, door fins, and a door sweep for effortless daily operation.

No Subcontractors

The same artisans who built your door install it. Direct accountability, consistent quality standards, and genuine pride in the finished result. One team, one standard, start to finish.

Final Detail Inspection

Before we leave, we inspect every detail together with you. If there is anything you or our team identifies as needing further attention, we address it immediately — on the spot, not on a callback.

Workshop Preparation

Your door is sanded, stained in your chosen color, and sealed with three coats of exterior UV polyurethane — all in our workshop. Maximum prep off-site means minimum disruption at your home.

Replacement, Renovation, and New Construction

Whether you are replacing an existing entry door, renovating your home, or building new, our installation team manages the process seamlessly. For replacement projects, we can often complete a single door installation in a single day, minimizing the time your home is open and ensuring your security is maintained throughout.

For more complex installations involving double doors, sidelites, transoms, or significant opening modifications, we discuss the timeline during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect. There are no surprises on installation day — everything has been planned and prepared in advance.

Building a new home in Central Florida? We work with builders and homeowners during the construction process to ensure your custom entry door is integrated perfectly into the new build. Early involvement allows us to coordinate on opening dimensions, frame preparation, and installation timing for the best possible result.
